Nao Yoshioka, who is turning heads worldwide and especially in the US, released her latest album “Undeniable” in 2019 and was then nominated “Female Vocalist of the Year” for the SoulTracks’ 2019 Readers’ Choice Awards. SoulTracks is the largest soul music online magazine in the US today and is well known internationally. From late 2019 to early 2020 she opened for Eric Roberson for a number of shows during his “Music Fan First – 10th Anniversary” tour. Nao performed solo at Blue Note Tokyo in late December 2020 for the first time in about a year, which saw her adding a string quartet for the first time to expand on her range of sounds.
Her first live performance of 2021, slated for April 10th, is titled “Fearless, Strength, Faith, Joy”. Nao is beginning a new phase based on the themes "Fearless", "Strength", "Faith", and "Joy", which is meant to help facilitate an escape from the current pessimistic world situation. This live performance will convey a positive message that our future will begin full of hope, not despair.
